Outve alot of post I've seen of yours. Have you ever tried getting into stuff like yoga and Zumba or spinning classes. Yoga and Zuma have always helped me as well as painting and poetry.
I notice when my anxiety really hits is when I have the down time. I've noticed as a mom of a 6 year old girl and a son who will be 2 in March and a loving husband they keep me occupied and busy which is a big help with my anxiety.
Do you eat a healthy diet? I notice since I do that helps with it and by not drinking stuff with caffeine such as soda and coffee.my only down fall I do wrong where I think it helps with anxiety is smoking it seems in the moment it helps but since cigarettes are a stimulant in the long run it doesn't help with anxiety but when I don't have the it gets worse.
I need to find an alternative beside that.
every now and then. It went back to close to normal. I'm 68 years old and have lifelong anxiety.
Relax. Breath.
Seriously, obessing about or being hyper vigilant about it isn't helping. What tools are you applying to help you manage your anxiety? Are you taking medication or getting treatment for it?
In the health care profession we call that “white coat symdrome”. Some people automatically go into panic mode as soon as they walk into the doctor’s office. Your pulse was high and your BP was high, both can be triggered by anxiety. They will check it towards the end of the appointment to compare and also will compare to what your BP has been in the past. If they were worried about it they would have scheduled a follow up. Also, if you smoked before the appointment that could raise your BP.
Try deep breathing. Another grounding technique that works is to concentrate on feeling the ground beneath your feet. This gets you out of your head and i to the moment.
Hope you are feeling better:)
