I have been eating a mostly gluten-free diet for a little over 2 months now at the suggestion of my doctor for a total unrelated reason. However, I have noticed that the couple of times I have splurged by having not in the diet plan foods, my anxiety has gone up. Do what works for you. Glad it is helping you!!
Anxiety did show up the other day the day before a medical procedure, but it didn't last.
I went vegan, gluten and soy free a year ago and have never felt better.
However, I also exercise, drink a lot of fresh water, and meditate daily.
I don't watch the news, nor hang around negative people and people who gossip.
This was a process, but well worth being med and anxiety free. I also beat diabetes and a host of other health issues.
Your digestion does indeed play a HUGE role in 70 to 80 percent of diseases and anxiety.
