so like it says, im getting held back at school. i had to go to a meeting on monday and the headteacher said shed talked to all off my teachers and all exept for one said that i was too far behind to catch up so they want me to be held back. so in september when i start my new school course (im going to be home schooled from sept) i will be starting this year all over again.
ive had like two feelings about it and its hard to explain. first i just felt like... blank. like nothing at all. i didnt feel any thing and thats werid for me coz thats never happened before. then after that i had a bad panic attack in the evening and i was crying a lot and really just im so scared that being held back is going to mess up evreything for me from now on. like i know exams were making my anxiety worse and now i dont have to do the exams so thats good but instead i have anxiety about what being held back is like. so i didnt get any better i just swapped one thing for another.
and i feel like i failed. coz really since feb ive been working as hard as i can so i wudnt get held back. its been like the worst thing i can think of happening and now its actually happened. i tried really hard and i wasnt good enough and its just not fair.

May I add another spin or two to the reactions you listed here? If not, now would be a good time to stop reading.
1) The extra time in HS might give you extra study in appreciating the fullness of time. A year is not as long as it appears in an adolescent timeline.
2) The repetition will make for easier academics which will allow you to focus more on recovery from whatever caused you to miss so much school this year. Time invested in recovery always seems to strengthen the recovery process.
Just thoughts. . . Take 'em or leave 'em as fits *your* personal thoughts.
Gentle support, whichever way you take ^it^, Cube Girl. Hope you emerge stronger and more confident.
