I've been processing a lot in therapy about my anxiety because it is interfering with my life. I did recently restart therapy by the way and she wants me to really think about events that pushed me to a lot of my tendencies. This may sound almost stupid to not necessarily readily remember but about 11 years ago I had been raped by an ex boyfriend. From that point forward I agonized over everything. Now the story of the attack is probably suited elsewhere I know. However, this marks the turning point for me where I pushed that to the furthest point in the back of my mind and I became scared of anything. I had panic attacks. I worried about everything. The crazy part was that I couldn't tell you why. I was just super anxious. The mind is interesting but now I have a lot of work to do. By no means do I feel good about this but I'm getting closer to a place where I may not freak out so much. Or maybe I won't get so many panic attacks and I can do things without being tense. I have a big part of the answer now. I'm just not sure where it will take me.

You did right in expressing this here, for the purpose of sharing the panic attacks, the anxiety, and the turning point.
Two important factors in helping you to heal. First, what happened affected your well-being to the point of anxiety going full blast, no stopping. Second, every step you take may bring on anxiety, it's a matter of making those sensations work for you, as you find your way through the patterns.
Best wishes, you are not alone. It's a wonderful feeling when you can let go of your anger, frustration, fear, shame, guilt, and forgive the person(s), not for them, however, for your self.
Best wishes.
