Good morning everyone! Today I am attempting to gradually deals with things as they come versus all at one time. I have a terrible habit of trying to handle everything at one time then only end up wearing myself out. So I planned a great birthday trip for my boyfriend then canceled it due to financial responsibilities. Now he is wanted to go ahead and take the trip, keep in mind I have already canceled everything so he is ready to just wing it and go with the flow. Not having a plan makes me really anxious but he helps me take things day by day and I agreed that we should go for it. His birthday is this Friday so by the end of the week with no plans or scheduling at all. I will be spending a week in Texas with my guy. I am nervous, excited and frantic all combined. I have only made this decision an 20 minutes ago and already my mind is filled with a schedule. Why is it so hard for me to just go with the flow even when I am willing to? Why can't I just get and go like anyone else? I feel like that has been the toughest thing for me for as long as I can remember.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Go for it! Distract your usual pattern of thinking and just be in the moment!
You can do this! Have a wonderful time!
i am one who can let go for adventure far more easily than i can find happiness in a limited space. i haven't noticed where i am all that normal. seems to me that most of the folk i encounter in my wandering ways envy my ability to just go with the flow. after 42 years together, my townie husband has let go far enough to flow with me, but still has a hard time adventuring out on his own. he is a 5th generation texan and my challenge is getting him out of the state. is it ironic that you are anxious about visiting the state i can't get him out of? getting him out of the country was a comedy, both times. i thought he was going to implode when i suggested moving to bolivia for our retirement.
hope you dare the do, ari. it is an amazing world we live in and worth taking the risk of seeing.
