Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
So here I am, healing slowly. I hate just sitting and relaxing all the time. I like to get out and do once in awhile. I know I'm more of a homebody and don't really go out. But I figure fresh air can't hurt a healing body. So daily or almost daily I go out and walk a little. Do a little something to help the healing process along some. I know it's good for me. But I feel as though I'm healing really slowly and I'm stuck in this perpetual roller coaster of emotions. No one tells you "oh your going to have hot flashes" or "Don't be surprised if you cry one minute and laugh the next". My hormones are out of whack and I don't see the doc for another week. Maybe they can take me in sooner if they know I'm all but losing my mind.
I feel the depression setting in. I know taking it easy would be helpful. But I also want to stay active. I'm caught, ppl. I don't know what to do at this point. I'm so everywhere right now.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Allow yourself to feel as you do. Don't beat yourself up about it. This too shall pass.
Leaving that mystery be. . .
I'm shocked nobody warned you of that hormonal rollercoaster. I did my menopause naturally and watching women go through that in one massive shock looks like a nightmare from the spectator stands. How could you med pros not warn you and lay in plans for ^it^. Some of my sisters-in-healing have assured me it was worth the shock because they got through the change MUCH faster than I did.
Whatever your route to arrival, we all agree that post-menopause rocks. We love life without that monthly mess and roller coaster ride.
Gentle support while you recover, Hippo.
I put it down as sitting exercise and outside exercise to help be more relaxed.
It does get better, even the roller coaster slows down.
