But when I am having an anxiety attack drinking cold water does not seem to help mine. I usually have the sensation of choking or not being able to swallow when I am having an attack. Now my grandmother swears the only thing that helps her is ice cold water. Different strokes I guess. I certainly won't hurt you to drink cold water though.
