However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Today it is 5 years since I was put out on temporary disability and then filed for SSDI and won through an attorney. SSDI started that July 1st. I have not worked. The reasons are that I interviewed a lot but didn't get hired, most jobs require too many hours or pay too much, I don't know certain systems, like for data entry, and for the longest time, I hardly looked. I have really bad arthritis in my back and can't stand for long periods of time so hostessing is not an option, but something that I have enjoyed in the past. I lost a lot of confidence in my abilities as a legal secretary so I don't apply for those jobs. I guess I should pray about it. I live alone and stay home a few days a week. I get energy from people so I don't think I could work remotely. Any suggestions?

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...

nearly all of the job interviewers i know are screening for potential lawsuit complications. disability ratings are pretty high on the list of flags. they figure that if you'll sue one employer, you'll sue another. one ex *always* leads to another. isn't it romantic?
Or you could go to a college and talk to a adviser about options in classes. I just too Computer Classes at night for Microsoft Office and Excel. Where I live they have free classes in the library. Also, Division of Vocational Rehabilation can help you.
They can give you tests to see aptitudes and interests too. They sent me to school years ago for Computer Class. It gave me more confidence and I got a job at my church.
