Taking it slow will help reduce the symptoms significantly from overwhelming to minor.
Here's to you finding the better balance naturally and using what you know about how your anxiety is affected to improve your balance.

Make sure you are decreasing/changing doses.... under your psychiatrist's supervision. You were on Zoloft a long time, and there is a Right and a Wrong way to change the dose. Please do this under your psychiatrist's care.
Also, are they putting you on a different anxiety medication instead? Because the old anxiety symptoms will come right back as you go off the Zoloft.
Please check with your psychiatrist.
When I first started ramping-up to ~50 mg, I could detect the side effects. If I stopped taking it because I forgot my pills for trip, the side effects were even more noticeable than when I was ramping-up. When I return home and was able to take my pills, the side effects went away quickly.
I'm now taking 200 mg because of a bad health problem in my family. With my doctor's help, I have dropped down to 100 mg at times without major problems.
As the others wrote, please work with your doctor when transitioning dosages. You'll probably observe side effects, but most likely not too severe.
Hope this helps.
