I like to tune into shows like NBC's Biggest Loser and their Thursday night comedy lineup though--warm, loving and hilarious!
I think that we, as a country, have become a bit addicted to the drama the news gives us and we are always looking for the "next big news story". And the media knows this. They spend so much time trying to "reel us in" to the latest drama and get us hooked. Stories are sensationalized and we are told about FAR more than we need to know, at least as far as I am concerned. I used to watch Nancy Grace every night, but you know......its just not good for me to hear about a child being murdered every night of the week. I know it happens and I know its horrible, but I don't need to LIVE it.
I don't know, I guess I am just getting old. But the news has changed. They discuss things now that NEVER would have been discussed 20 years ago. Their code of ethics has changed and its all about the dollar. For most of the channels anyway.
I do watch the news when global disasters happen though...like with Japan. I am very interested in how the countries survive and bring themselves together and how they deal with the crisis. I find it inspiring.....
mattiemae: I always think the same thing after I hear the news come on. Why can't the news focus on positive stuff? haha
koolman: I loooove nbc's thursday night block of shows. I'm sad that Steve Carrel left the office. I like will farrell, but it just wont be the same. Also Parks & Recreation is hilarious! haha
lilygirl: You are def. not old. You look like you are 25....26 Tops on your picture lol
