Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

My problems started due to a traumatic event, so evenings have become a constant trigger. I realized that when I work evenings instead of days ,this problem goes away.
This actually just came to me recently, so I am looking into picking up some evening shifts.
I hope you will feel better soon!
in my own case, i treated the crippling anxiety like a byproduct of the insomnia and put the focus on remediating the epic nightmares behind the insomnia. the remediation was a long and tedious process which took years to provide meaningful results. i am knocking wood as i report that it has been quite a few years since i have had insomnia levels of nightmares. i continue monitoring for the conditions which lead to nightmares as a preventative measure just because i don't ever wanna go **there** again. i'm a huge believer in preventative medicine.
my treatment consisted of a cocktail of dream journaling, peer support and pro therapy. the pros were helpful, but i believe it was the journaling and peer support which helped the most.
but that is me and every case is unique.
steadying support while you sort your own case. welcome aboard.
1. Get better sleeping habits. No naps. Get up reasonably early, push yourself through the day, and get a schedule say in bed 1100, sleep 1130 up 730 or 8. Try to get comfortable sleepwear, perhaps appealing scents.
2. Exercise during the day.
3. Busy My sister-in-law and now my wife have anxiety, and the lack of things to do seem to play a major. part. At SIL, she's pretty calm, we disrupted her routine for a few days and she didn't work, then I notice she's worrying about various political and other things. Worry and inactivity are connected.
4. Anxiety and productivity Anxiety can be productive to identify existing and potential problems, worried about possibly losing your jobs, you intelligently spend the weekend talking to friends about possible other opportunities. But disabling anxiety bears no relation to addressing real problems so realize that.
If you made mistakes, create a solutions list, identify what you did, what systemic changes could help and try to implement them. Otherwise realize the anxiety is unproductive and unhelpful.
I know it can be hard but this is where I see it.
