Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Normally, I would still be ticked off about my day but I guess I am too tired to be mad. Earlier today, I was watching closing arguments in a murder trial that I have been following. I fell asleep twice while watching the attorneys deliver their respective closing arguments. Then around 2:17 p.m., my cousin sent a group text that my Aunt was on her way to the ER with chest pains. About an hour later, i got ready to go visit her, as well as my plans to go to Kohl's and the laundromat. I wasn't thinking that it was getting close to dinnertime. So I get to the hospital and suddenly, I realized that I was getting hungry. My Aunt was hungry too. After looking over the ER menu, she couldn't find anything that she wanted. I ended up going to Burger King to use the app for a free Rodeo burger for myself and food for my Aunt. I couldn't get the Rodeo burger to say "redeem" and I had to place a mobile order but they had my old credit card number and wouldn't let me change it. In my starving state, I ordered a Whopper with cheese for myself and a burger and onion rings for her and it came to $15.11. Then I realized that I should have just gotten the meal. So, my cheap self was not happy. Then I went to McDonald's for a cheap iced coffee with the app but the app screwed me up and I left. Then I went to Wawa and it was under construction. Yes, I was cursing. Later, I went to Kohl's and couldn't find any good deals so I went to a laundromat. They were closing. So I went to the gym for a massage. Then I went to another laundromat and when I was about to get change, I was told that they were closing. Then I went to CVS because I had digital coupons and I scored up and got a twin pack of deodorant for 61 cents. When I got home, I checked YouTube and a verdict had been reached in the trial so justice was served and the defendant was found guilty of the first degree murder of her husband. What a day! It's 10:22 p.m. which is past my bedtime. Hoping for a smoother day tomorrow! How was your day?

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
It was such a beautiful drive. No idea what to expect and that made it even more magical. I have a jeep wrangler so had the top off. Driving through mountains feeling the sun on my skin and the wind on my face makes me feel a part of the landscape, a small speck in something much bigger, something that’s been standing since god knows when. I am grateful to still feel in awe of nature.
Stopped and ate tacos for dinner at a food truck. Got home put some sweat pants on, made a gin martini and sat on my patio, to read. Then I basically fell asleep for about an hour outside.
Simple pleasures.
