Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Officially, the 1st anniversary of the Corona Shutdown was last month. Of course the experts can't agree on an official day, but ^it^ didn't happen all at once, so the confusion seems reasonable. I don't know about the experts, but in my inner circle, each of us seems to have a different marker for individual awareness that the world had changed radically since the last time I looked.
For me, the Corona New Year is March 19th, the day we received the announcement that Spring Break would end with the beginning of the unexpected Home Schooling experience for my 3 recently orphaned foster children. I was even less prepared for that than I was for the second parenting career which commenced a few short months before Corona crowned.
I don't know whether to call ^it^ a New Year or just another trauma anniversary, but I am feeling a need to punctuate the event in hopes of more contiguous processing and acceptance.
Am I making sense? Anybody else feeling the need?
Again I leave the mood icon on the rapid cycling median. How am I? Depends on which minute you ask.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.
I don't have a specific day that stands out.
I understand how a lot of people do, though.
the Spanish Flu epidemic lasted a good two years until it went away. It put our current circumstances into a
kind of perspective that helps me reconcile the wait during this time. Peace Arfie!!
A piece of my PTSD therapy which has served me well is marking and observing trauma anniversaries. It doesn't make the ripple effect any easier, but it opens the door to healing The crew members of my little ship of fools were too recently traumatized and socially marginalized by the double funeral to register that the Corona talk was any different than any standard flu season until that fateful day when the school district and CPS yaddahs were officially shut down. March 19th is my official trauma date.
Learning about the Masked adventures, persecution and public violence of the Spanish Flu epidemic didn't comfort me, at all. Still doesn't. There is zero evidence that the social disruption did any more than prolong the agony. For sure, the gauze masks available then have since been scientifically proven to have been ineffective. Well mask it all! ! !
