Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Feeling so much regret towards a certain time in my life. And I can’t undo what’s been done.
This is the first time I’m ever saying this out loud....now that I’m older and wiser, I feel that my past actions could’ve been started because of my mom’s warped way of thinking and how she raised me. She sheltered me. She babied me. She tried to keep me in this cocoon that avoided all conflict, which ultimately held me back from learning and growing at a normal age.
When I finally broke out of that cocoon, I went nuts. I made poor decisions, was reckless, and didn’t know who I was. I was trying to get attention from all the wrong places. I could’ve been killed. I could’ve been hurt more than I was. I could’ve gotten sick.
Im sorry.....maybe one day I’ll actually write down my confessions and tell you. But....for now....baby steps. Lord, help me to forgive myself.

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
Congratulations on finding the courage to say that out loud. May that courage lead you to healing breakthroughs.
Whatever the source of the problems, self-forgiveness is a hard process to accomplish. It's a tough measure, but I does believe it is a kajillion times easier for me to forgive other people than it is to forgive myself, even when I have done nothing wrong. Guilt is an aggressively greedy beast which looks for fatal flaws and blame in even the most benign of circumstances.
Gentle support while you find your self-forgiveness, Kay. Welcome aboard.
