Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
For as long as I can remember I’ve always had anxiety. When I was a teenager I was able to control my anxiety until I reached my second year in college.10 years later and I’m still struggling with day-to-day basis of leaving the house out of fear talking to people and just being myself. I have lost my job back in March of 2019 and was unemployed for six months. I isolated myself from people only because the job that I had I work remotely and I worked there for two years without having any type of human interaction except for my husband and some of our friends and family but their interaction hasn’t been long it’s usually short and I had to take myself away from situations. It’s a constant struggle to talk with people in person. I can do communication very well online but when it comes to face-to-face conversation I have a hard time. I was diagnosed with viral meningitis back in April & my anxiety got even worse to the point that I’m having more panic attacks than anything I cryo-often and also think very down of myself which is very different because I’ve always been a positive person. Sorry this is so long it’s just the fact that I don’t talk to anybody really about it except for my therapist and my psychiatrist and I don’t want to go to support groups because of how my schedule is with a new job that I just started and that has been struggle as well to accomplish. Some days I feel very alone people just don’t understand where I’m coming from with the struggles that I haven’t endured. When I try to talk about it with people I feel very little compared to them because they don’t understand or they’re just in shock that I asked some of the questions that I do ask. It’s somewhat embarrassing to me and I tend to cry on a daily basis. I just don’t know what to do.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Put it away. Get up, move around, get hydrated.
When you look at it again, look at the pattern of thought. What do you want for you?
Job loss affects you.
Getting a new job takes adjustment. You have to include the adjustment thinking to help you move forward.
Anxiety is natural. Finding ways to reduce the spikes will help you find a better resting balance, and the more you stay in the moment, focusing on what you are doing now, the better it will be.
Best wishes.
You are not alone.
Welcome to the anxiety board.
Rambling allowed here. Even when it is nothing more than verbal vomit, the venting value of allowing myself to ramble is cathartic beyond measure. It's okay if nobody else understands or cares enough to even read my verbal vomit. Getting ^it^ out of my system is a tremendous relief and helps me focus better on finding solutions.
I'll add my voice to the choir that you took an all important first step in making this post. Welcome aboard.
Currently living with my parents who have put up with my degrading socially and mentally.
