Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

As with going off other meds of this type, it would be a gradual tapering down. Clonazepam, a benzodiazepine, can be addictive, due to it's tranquilizing, anti anxiety, and calming effects.
Are they switching you to another benzodiazepine?
If you like the clonazepam, you can stay on it. You can take both of those medications, too. I took one for day, and the other one for night, because they are different kinds of medications. 1 mgs might not be enough, and they need to increase it to get the full effect. Like I said, everyone is different, and you'll have to talk to your doctor about it. I loved clonazepam, but I needed closer to 2 mgs.
Remember that YOU are in control. Take note of which medications you like, which you don't. They could just do a dose adjustment. I think you will have to wean off it slowly, though.
I certainly understand being scared of medication changes. Just remember you are in control, and you will ultimately do what works best for you. Doctors can only make suggestions and try things, but ultimately YOU have the last say! :) See what he has to say, and you two can talk about it, too. You do have power in all of this.
Maybe the Clon dose is too low, that's why it's not doing anything? Just a thought! I have no idea what your situation is and of course you need to discuss with your doctor. But in my case, I liked Clonazepam a lot and I would take it forever, it has that very subtle calming to it, and I liked it better than the Lorazepam.
Maybe if you explained more what you are trying to accomplish, we could be of more help? Thanks :)
You *might* need to take more Clonazepam. Since you said it works for you (I liked it too!!), I am really thinking you just need a half milligram more and you would be okay (AGAIN, I do NOT know, I am only sharing my experience with it). I think Clonazepam is a really good anxiety drug. For me, I could only take it in the evening (due to sedating effects), and then I had like 12 hours of bliss and calmmmmm.
Is a "med manager" a doctor? I have never heard that term.
Again, YOU are in charge. If you like the Clonazepam, you should stay on it. Probably just need 1/4 or a 1/2 more would be my GUESS.
Feel free to PM me if you want.
All too often, the race to change medicine levels is done in "piecemeal" fashion. Accurate evaluation is so important.
Be careful, whatever you choose.
Sometimes, the doctor is focused on one symptom, rather than the full symptom.
Best wishes.
