Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
ive been struggling with health anxiety for about six years now and I'm use to chest pain coming with my attacks but today my symptoms feel different. Normally I feel a quick sharp pain for a couple seconds and then it comes and goes like that. Today I woke up from a nap and the top left side of my chest feels heavy and sore. Almost like a sore muscle. And it's been there for a couple hours now
Is it possible that my chest muscle is just sore from all the anxiety attacks my body takes? Also wanted to know if anyone else out there can almost create physical pain symptoms just by thinking about it? Sometimes I'll be sitting there not having an attack and just think "wow it would suck if chest started hurting now" and then bam, it starts hurting.

You sound a bit like a hypochondriac.... But not about everything. But about your chest. So your building up anxiety from it. Like most people with severe anxiety. Your dwelling on it often.
Are you exercising at all?
There's no "almost" to my ability to create physical pain symptoms just by thinking about it. I am *that* vulnerable to power of suggestion. In my own case, I believe I am equally vulnerable to positive suggestion. Alas, it's allot easier to find negative suggestion than positive suggestion, so the positives have extra chaos to shout over to be heard.
Yup, my anxiety also wells up as chest pains, also. Gentle empathy. No shortage of negative suggestions on what those chest pains might be. . .
Trust me friend, I know how scary it can be. 36 years old, never had a health problem at all, no daily medications ever.... Two children, naturally.... Kept a healthy weight my whole life... My head is still spinning lol. I am actually the healthiest person in my entire family. My advice to you, please call your primary and get an annual well person check up. Stress is a silent killer, and that voice I heard that day saved my life... I want to do the same for you! Good luck and God bless
