Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Hey guys. It's been a long time since I've had to come here seeking some sort of relief or understanding. My friend/co-worker passed a few days ago. She had cancer and we knew the diagnosis wasn't good but she went downhill so sudden. She had faith that I admire and I do see the Lord in so much of her story and I am so thankful he didn't let her suffer but it is so hard to accept. Then not only that but my mind will not stop thinking about any and everything to give me anxiety. I can't focus. I feel like I am in a constant state of anxiety. I don't want to be alone, and I'm not. I have great friends and family but I can't expect them to sit at my side every moment and I don't want to feel like I need them to. I have Xanax and I have taken one the past two nights but due to family history I am terrified of getting addicted. Anyway, I don't expect anyone to solve my problems it is just good to hear from people who understand things. It definitely starts making me feel like I'm losing it when I can't get it together.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
I am so sorry to hear of the death of your friend. I am sure your family and other friends understand your need to lean on them at this difficult time. Do you happen to have a therapist you can talk to? This way you would have someone else to release how you feel.
Please do not feel like you’re losing it. You went through something very traumatic.
I believe in GOD and pray a lot. Hopefully faith will also help.
I do take Xanax , not everyday but for situational things.
Keep writing here. This way you can write any time of day and write whatever you would like.
Again I am sorry.
I am sorry to hear about your coworker also. This kind of shocking death can make us sort of regroup and rethink our lives.
Zoloft is not really addicting. It will take about a month for the good benefits to kick in. And if you need to go off it, it wouldn't be that hard to go off it. Sometimes we need some medication to help control our anxiety and/or depression and that is Okay. You wouldn't necessarily have to be on medication forever. Please see a psychiatrist for a medication recommendation. They are medical doctors (MD's) who all they do is mental health medications.
I am sorry to hear of your co-worker. That is sad.
Keep us posted on how you're doing. You're not alone!
