Hi all,
It's been a rough week or so. I've never experienced difficulty breathing during panic attacks, but that's what happened late last week. I've gotten good over the years at controlling the racing heart, etc and able to control most panic attacks. Since this was new, I am having so much difficulty getting through every hour, minute, etc. Especially when I am alone or it's at night. It's been a while since my anxiety has even been bad, and now it's attacking a different area of my body I'm not familiar with. And of course, working out is my #1 way of helping my anixety, but now I just worry about being able to breath. I don't have much else to say other than I've lost my happiness and confidence and hope I can somehow find it again. Thanks all.

either way lots of hugs and support while you sort. xxx
I hold my breath when I am anxious, sometimes for long enough to cause oxygen deprivation. When I do resume breathing, it takes a while to regulate my breath, even when I am paying attention. It is all too easy to pay more attention to the voices in my head than my breathing.
Breathing exercises are my single most important anxiety management tool.
