Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I am so tired of having to do it all and on top of it make money. Even though my husband helps me out some, I still run the household and care for children. For the past 5 years he gradually helped me more. However, I feel like a robot , like a maid, like a taxi, like a wallet. In the end my husband takes the major desistions and if I don't agree I have to fight him to change his mind. I haven't taken a vacation in a long time. Now with Covid, he 's got a great excuse not to leave the house. I don't feel appreciated by my family.Need to take my own advice and do something for myself...I need to have some fun, to laugh, to see new things, to try new things. I guess I could have post this on the depression board because that is how I feel right now.

Do you like to read good novels? Margaret Atwood's "The Edible Women" is what I suggest for help with what you're dealing with. Just a short excerpt of the book:
The Edible Woman is a 1969 novel that helped to establish Margaret Atwood as a prose writer of major significance. It is the story of a young woman whose sane, structured, consumer-oriented world starts to slip out of focus. Following her engagement, Marian feels her body and her self are becoming separated.
Just put your feet up but just look after your self ..hugs
Anyhoo. . .
I started my second parenting career when my youngest son and his wife died in a traffic accident, leaving behind 3 children, ages 6 and under. Some days I feel like I've experienced the immaculate conception of triplets at the age of 65. I am taking on this challenge with the same hubby and still having allot of the feelings you are describing here, especially on the days we are arguing about which one of us is more exhausted and which one gave up the most for the privilege of being over-worked, under-paid and under-appreciated. I s'pose the good news is that it is not quite so much of a shock to our expectations. I sure am grateful I'm not having to synchronize with a new partner through this challenge. My partner still ain't perfect, but at least I know where and what most of his warts are.
Sigh. . .
Gentle empathy, ABC. Parenting is tough business. Partnering can be even tougher. Vent freely. Vent often. Sometimes it helps.
Two-yes, depression and anxiety ride together in my roller coaster. So, normal.
Three-any parenting is challenging. Take time to relax, run away, and refresh your spirit. We spend so much time and effort taking care of everyone else first, and ourselves last, and we need to take care of us first.
You're not alone!
That said, as a man, I can sympathize with many men. Some women will do a lot of things in the house and from our perspective they may not be necessary or we can do without them. But no need to debate this.
In a nice way, tell him you need a break, figure out how this can be done, and make arrangements to do it, and stick to your guns.
