Yesterday, I saw my rheumatologist. Good news! My dexascan results were great and I don't have osteopenia anymore. No need for yearly infusions. Also, she gave me advice about what to do for building bone density. She told me to stretch before I workout and to do squats and lunges and work with weights. I used to do those things when I worked out with a friend. She told me to buy wrist weights to use on the treadmill and I found those at Five Below this morning for $7. I went to the gym this morning but due to having a bad night's rest, I skipped the treadmill and just got a massage. I didn't rest well because my left leg was throbbing from osteoarthritis throughout the night. The rheumatologist also made sure that I am taking Calcium and Vitamin D. So from the 3 infusions, the supplements and working out, I am in good shape as to my bones. Yippee!
