They're pouring adrenaline and cortisone into your blood stream. Your body has to process that out of your blood. And you're going to feel ghastly till it's done.
It's not really anything to do with the real world after the first initial shock. Well - I don't think so. I think you have the real world shock, your body starts producing the adrenaline, and then you can fall down the rabbit hole at that point and only come up in 3 days, entirely fooled into thinking that how you feel has to do with the initial real world issue that set you off.
3 days. :D Give it 3 days. Oh. And lots of vitamins. :)
And write a diary. Oh my, I just read the one I wrote the other day, no feeling at all now. I was strung out about this issue, severely strung out for half a week. Now? Nope. No stress. Just a minor inconvenience.
You can use them in a diffuser or topically. Google search which ones are best for anxiety. I use lavender at night and it's very calming. Keep doing breathing exercises and keep yourself busy with fun things... a good book, TV show or movie, a game, call a friend, etc. Wishing you the best. I hope you get some relief soon
