I'm lucky that I have nice neighbours except one who rubs everyone up the wrong way and will park cars all over the place, very aggressive to their immediate neighbour.
We were burgled before Christmas and m y dog has been very and I o us since and will bark at any sound. Our garden backs onto nature reserve where the intruders got in. I have been told by one of my nice neighbours that they saw the aggressive one throwing things into my garden at my barking dog. I checked the next day and there are several potatoes in the garden.
I feel very anxious and annoyed at such cowardly actions. I don't want this to escalate and I'm aware they have been rude to over neighbours when confronted on over issues. I'm not sure what to do for the best.
In the meantime I'm looking for help with the barking as I do recognise we could do with help. Though these people also has a dog that barks all day.
Any advice welcomed.

If possible I would invest in an alarm system if you don't have one as this will bring your anxiety levels down. Also, if you feel you can, I would go to these neighbors and speak to them concerning their throwing objects at a helpless animal. If they don't know already about the burglary I would tell them and how this and their actions are creating anxiety for the dog. I would ask for their understanding and to not throw objects at the dog.
Other than this you may have to stay out with the dog and bring he or she in when you go in. I am so sorry that after what you have been through you must contend with this.
We changed where the crate is, where the food dish is, and close the curtains when we leave now. The dog does fine, and does not bark when we return, either.
For anxious barking, distraction works best. I use treats, play toys, and attention to help break the usual behavior.
Best wishes.
Our property was broken into, and so we had to make some changes, as listed above.
One thing, calm your self before trying to calm the dog. Easier on everyone that way!
