YES!! I don't like medication. What kind of meds are those that you're afraid of taking? I'm too afraid of side effects, you never know how you're going to react until you take them. I try to find alternatives to taking medicine but some medicines you need to take.

I have long forgotten the names of the drugs,much less their classes, but I was extremely anxious about meds when I used them. Calling them, "Meds" didn't comfort me much. A drug is still a drug and substance abuse is so rife in my family tree that the War on Drugs propaganda had triple the impact on me than it did on Jane Q. Public.

Still, I'm glad I took the leap of faith and gave them a shot. Emotional stability was completely foreign to me and the meds helped me find an emotional baseline to shoot for in the rest of my psychotherapy.

Yikes, meds. I also get anxious about them half of the time. But months ago i got receipted a pill to take a lot to control an issue giving me anemia. I was scared because one of the possible secondary effects was my veins maybe getting some blood stuck or so, i was terrified.
However, months mater, im still here! My parents were right when they said i was healthy enough for them. And I think you can be fine too!! I wish you luck and hope for your best <3

I am on 9 pills of gabapentin 30 mg each per day for peripheral neuropathy in my feet and hands. I use to have severe burning and stabbing in these two sites, but with gabapentin it turns to numbing. Which I thought was better. You start out really on a very low dose and gradually increase as needed. Which benzo are you on. I was taking Xanax 2 mg at bedtime and my general dr stopped me cold turkey. My life was awful but I am back to as good as normal for now. I hope this helps you out.
