Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

But anyway, it just illustrates you point that the adrenaline stays with you even if you aren't feeling worried about anything. A chronic worrier is going to be feeling adrenaline effects even when he isn't worrying about something at the moment because its just always in their system.
Most of my panic attacks involved me feeling "weird". I never got them when I was mad or sad or happy....only when I felt weird. The lure of over analyzing "weird" was just to much to resist and the more I analyzed the more weird it became and eventually I would start freaking out and it would feel like I was in this alternate dimension or something. This is why I don't smoke marijuana....I can go there all on my own...lol.
It is not good for you. It won't kill you, but it makes it a lot harder to recover, but I believe you can.
I have had it forever too, or it seems like it. I believe that I grew up hypersensitive to feelings, sounds and that my senses do not know how to block out information from the outside world so the only way I know how to escape is to live more internally because otherwise I go into overload and I freak out.
Simply put, your nerves are shot. it is going to take a supreme effort and probably not expect anything to help ease the anxiety for at least four months. And that is being optomistic (sp?)
I have been where you have been and it is disabling and horrible. When it looks like I am sliding back in that direction I take action now and some of the things that you mentioned that did not help you they actually help me now where before it didn't touch it.
I am rooting for you to get better. I have to say that lilygirl has helped me so much because she is only telling you what will help you to get better and her no nonsense approach is how you face this terrible condition called anxiety. You have to face it and keep facing it to get any relief. But in your case if you go all out it will backfire and cause you to go down even further because to face it means even more anxiety and your cannot afford to have more dished out on your plate. Very very small baby steps is how I had to do it. Once it subsides then you can speed up.
I think your husband is right, you are a good person. I know from being an anxiety ridden person myself that when my anxiety is too high I can be irritable and angry. If you read about high stress the list will show anger, frustration and irritability as signs that you need to find a way to relieve stress.
Easier said than done. When I was at your level of anxiety I had to go on zoloft to give my body a break and time to heal.
I recently had to go back on zoloft because my anxiety was coming back big time and I did not want to have to start all over again.
I am sorry, you are at the level where it feels like physical torture. To be honest with you I think that you are not mean acting at all, you are frustrated.
Later, some of these posts will have meaning for you once you can get some kind of hold on recovery.
Will I ever be the same person who was very brave and would try anything? I think those days have passed for me and now I am looking just to get better and to feel better.
