The worst Anxiety is when, those people at the gym, they start walkinong forward on the treadmill, then stsrt walking backward I hate that, then You have the people listening to theire music, And playing air-drums (doesn't happen very often) Just irritates me.
But, The worst is probably when im listening to music.

I don't really know how to label this but I having a rough week and I can't say it's one thing.... I have a lot on my plate which is nothing new and I try to cope in many positive ways and do but I still have my moments. My kids more so my daughters talk to me about everything which I know it's cause of comfort and we are close.... however I really struggle with the venting about their dad which...

I am a devout believer in exercise to relieve symptoms. With my hyper-active metabolism, it is a public safety need. I get seriously psychotic when I don't get my physical workouts.
Gyms trigger the hell out of my social anxiety, though. I have never used treadmills, but I often run backwards on the track and I promise, your irritation with my running backwards hits me on psychotically personal levels. I already know I am a freak. Sorry you agree. Running away now. My use of gyms is far more exposure therapy for my social anxiety than physical workout in my own herstory.
Not sure if any of that applies to your case, or not, but. . .
Gentle support while you sort your own. Keep venting. Your answers are in there.
It's easy to stay negative ... and when you're anxious in negative mode...difficult to pull out the positive mode without forcing the distraction to positive.
The more I practice this, the easier it is to manage my social phobia naturally with interesting results.
Best wishes and glad you joined this group!
