Hello,
I'm new to this group. I have had varying degrees of anxiety over the years, and have recently connected my urgent need to yell--even if I am not angry--with my anxiety (whereas I thought they were two separate issues of mine). I am working on the various practices of living whole-heartedly as explained by Brene Brown in her many books, talks, classes, and posts. I just heard her say that, just like drinking and eating and shopping can be numbing agents (i.e., ways of taking the edge off or numbing whatever pain we are trying not to feel), so too is anger and anxiety! I was blown away by this, so I feel like it must have a key to something. I am posting this here in case it resonates with anyone and/or in case someone can further enlighten me on this aspect of numbing.
Thank you!

There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
