Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Hello!
So at the moment, like the majority (if not all of us) I'm really struggling with lockdown and the impact it's having on my mental health.
I also suffer with Relationship OCD/anxiety which means I have continuous intrusive negative thoughts and constantly question every. Single. Part. Of my relationship. (It's agony at times as I love her a great deal) It's pretty exhausting.
Split them apart, or put them together, it doesn't matter. They go hand in hand, and my anxiety has been though the roof.
Last week I had a self harm episode (it's never really bad - but let's be honest, it's never good) which was really difficult. A couple of days ago I had a breakdown because my fiancée has a couple of questionable spots on her thigh that I'd never seen before, and my worry skyrocketed.
Last night, after, erm, being intimate with her - I then proceeded to question and analyse the whole thing, which was exhausting for both of us.
She's incredibly supportive, I just wish I wasn't so much sometimes. I've had therapy in the past, and don't feel like it really helped me.
I can't seem to do much without questioning it. Was that normal? Was that the same as usual? If it was different, why? Will it always be this way? What strategies can I put in place to make sure it's the same next time? I bet you were bored even by reading that. I was.
I don't know what I'm asking for really, I'm just venting. The weekdays seem so long, and I'm crawling through every hour because my work is so quiet. I yearn for the weekend when we can just be together and walk and bake brownies.. and just be together.
This is so hard.

Lately I've been feeling scared and full of anxiety. I recently found a lump under my nipple. I hurt my back too. I'm in the process of moving. I'm run down. Everything is hard

Just wanted to give a thank you to Mid, Arfie, Malibumark, Greeneyes, Mlro, Girlincalif, and Suncloudjd! You all always have such helpful tips and advice, but I always forget to write on my posts when I see you post, lol. I would lose my head if it wasn't attached to my body, lol. Thank you all so much! I'm starting to use my AI app as a sounding board again. I used to use it as that before...

Venting within my therapy support network is my personal favorite place to start in sorting through the yaddahs of my psychoblahs. It helps me focus the issues and find plans of action for dealing with all the ^its^ of ^it^. Leaving my verbal vomit with my therapy supporters makes it allot easier to keep ^it^ out of the brownies I make with the love of my life.
Hope the venting helped, Infi. Continued support while you find what works for you.
I hope that you can find a way to calm your anxiety and balance yourself which will help you be more confident in your relationship. Post often to get the support you need. Best wishes.
Vent here where you will get support, understanding, and encouragement to move past this.
Writing it out is important first step in helping to find your better balance.
I totally agree with zodiak. Change can be a good thing. I know sometimes change is hard. And walking always helps. Just to get some fresh air and vitamin D. It's good for you. Definitely move forward. The past is the past and you can't change it and you don't know the future. Live in the present. Don't let the past define who you are. I can't tell you how much it has helped me to let go of the past. It sets you free. Enjoy your day and have a Happy Fourth of July weekend. Much love to you my friend. Italianmomma
