Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
Today has been interesting. Not in a good way. My husband works for the apartment company we live at. Not the location we’re at just the same company. Knowing that I tend not to like to get involved with anything other than maintenance requests incase things go wrong. I don’t even talk to neighbors because I don’t want any issues.
Today however I decided ask them about our free yearly cleaning. To which there was an issue. And then they said they cleaned it in February. They didn’t. The fixed and cleaned a 3 foot area that got water damaged from excessive leaking windows from all the rain we were having. I objected to this and said I would have him send an email.
This whole conversation was 4 minutes with the chick I talked to gone for a minute and a half. I left thinking he’d fix it.
Well he didn’t. After emailing the manager We were informed that the girl told her manager I cursed at her saying “fuck” and “shit”. I WOULD NEVER DO THAT! She said she was “shaken up” by it. I was not even there for 5 minutes and most of the time with her I was texting him about what was going on.
So then the manger wanted to meet with me. So I had to go back down there and talk to him. I told him I don’t get involved with anyone not even neighbors in fear of something like this. I only ever communicated with 1 person on and off and she left the company earlier this year. He seemed a little surprised I would actually say something like that. I curse but not at staff. Only to friends and family.
I did in fact say the situation was bull shit but only to my self and I was already outside the building crossing the street with no one around me.
So now this has caused an anxiety attack because I don’t want this lair to get my husband in trouble. Which he won’t be the manager said (he didn’t seem like he believed her).

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Apparently this person according to another employee friend is a bit... not nice person.
It’s the embarrassment factor that has me upset. Having to go into someplace as a 33 yr old adult to defend my self over a complete faberication.
I told him I will not ever step foot in that office as long as they both are there. And I want an apology from her. In writing. My husband said he going to email the complex manager and a higher up because this is unacceptable.
Conflict-consequences-change. Where there is a physical problem with physical evidence, information processed will follow those words. If there is a printed history of previous reports for physical problem being discussed, then it provides a path for the problem to be worked on for a possible complete resolution.
What happens when our feelings respond in situations such as this is our appearance and mouthing (not speaking out loud but lips are moving silently) and the other person's perspective projecting the anticipated response and automatically replying to their boss what they perceived to be the problem. The person did not listen, did not attempt to respond with reviewing the information already available.
The date can be verified with printed information providing that the listed service was done. If the company records show that the service was provided in February, then a request for a service again would be a courtesy service. As you stated, it was a maintenance request that started this particular interaction.
Sad to say the "female" or "chick" has a personal view that interferes with her ability to keep the job conversation professional. Nothing says we have to agree with the requests, just that we process the request, and provide the best customer service.
When dealing with people such as this, it is best to have written records in hand, and a plan of action that allows anxiety sensations to move in a positive direction.
Focus on the result you want. Even our feelings want results.
Best wishes on making it through with an improved balance in this for everyone involved.
