were you drinking solo or socially? feel free to disregard the question, but inside my own hangovers, the diff is significant.
i'm not much of a drinker because i can't handle the hangovers, so i may be farting out the wrong end here, but inside my own psycho weirds, drinking alone is escapism and i end up going to bed with nothing but the psychotic memories/thoughts i was trying to escape. the hangovers were ferocious. drinking socially puts the social event foremost in my hangover fog. my social anxiety can be ferocious as i review those social interactions, but its easier to get a handle on than the demons i was attempting to escape when i crawled into the bottle.
but that is me and every case is unique. . .
gentle support while you sort your own case. welcome aboard.
Nurse your body, get some rest and re-evaluate when you are in a better frame of mind. If you have a drinking problem then that’s a different issue but if it was a night out with friends where you just over did it and ended up making out with someone or getting in an argument with someone, or something like that, just try to make it right once you are recovered.
In my 20s I did a lot of stupid stuff while drinking (except never drank and drove). I just sucked it up and owned any fall out and carried on. Live and hopefully learn. That’s all you can do
It may be too that the anxiety drinking causes you may not be worth it. That’s something for you to sort out. But don’t kick yourself when you are down. It’s not helpful.
Hmm. Anxiety after drinking often results from the let-down when the world returns to 'normal' after the 'buzz' of fun alcohol drinking.
If you feel bad after drinking, then consider the circumstances prior to you wanting to drink alcohol.
We are all here to support you as you find your better balance naturally.
Best to get rehydrated and stay hydrated as you recover from the drinking.
