Reading your post, I have some suggestions for you.
Did something happen 8 months ago? That would have triggered anxiety to start in your life? If you can pin point what started it, that will make it easier to treat it through therapy.
Please see a psychiatrist. Not just a general practitioner family doctor. Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can prescribe the correct medication for you.
Medications like Paxil are effective, but they take at least 4 weeks to start helping. More like 6-8 weeks, but it's possible you will feel better after 4 weeks.
Look into talking to a therapist/psychologist. They can help you with the anxious thoughts..... And that's what anxiety is..... thoughts that pop up, and it can turn into physical symptoms.
I take medication daily, and speak to my therapist by phone once a week. I am only managing my anxiety and can not get rid of it entirely.
Taking these steps should help you. It helps to have a plan, and some control over our lives. Good luck and keep posting here.
Keeping a daily journal will help sort through the changes as you figure out what's going on that works and what needs help.
Overwhelming can be reduced a piece of the puzzle at a time-and seeing the symptoms in writing may help you see what's next.
Often when one part of anxiety is naturally reduced, something else pops up, and this is 'normal' as the body and brain do what they can to protect you from being overwhelmed.
