Chest pains have been one of my own anxiety symptoms for about 40 years. I tend to hold my breath when I am anxious and chest pains are a natural result. Breathing exercises and an aspirin are my remedy. Singing and/or humming are my personal favorite breathing exercises. I don't much care what it sounds like. It is therapy, not an audition.
Stay on the medication. It takes about 4 weeks to see the benefits of it. The first few weeks on it might be tough, but you are doing it, so good for you!! Those symptoms will get better... probably by next week.
Chest pains are common with anxiety. They will stop, they will get less and less.
Maybe you need to talk to a therapist. Someone to talk to about what you're going through and they can help you to get things back on track.
Use distractions when feeling anxious. Anything physical helps the anxiety to calm down. Go for a walk, do some cleaning in your house, go play with your pet/dog, etc. Call a friend and just chat.
And, as @Arfie said, breathe.
You are going to be okay.
The fact that your chest pains are on all different sides of your chest, means it's not a heart problem. And you got that checked already. Anxiety causes physical symptoms too, ugh!
One thought - how is your eating? Sometimes eating certain foods can cause indigestion and heartburn, which will cause pains up in your chest.
Try to take walks outside, eat healthy, drink plenty of water each day, and get enough sleep. Stay busy with things, which helps take your mind off anxiety and also off the symptoms. It's good that you're talking to your therapist about this. You're going to be okay!
The other sad part is, whenever mom goes to the ER, they do tests, the tests come back normal but she'll still feel that something is wrong, she does not trust anyone.
It is common for a sufferer to experience these things when they feel anxious. I have anxiety too but not anywhere near what my mom is going through.
You've taken the important first step in writing it out.
