So you have to counteract the fact that you're full, as it were, and not blame the poor guy that shows up with the straw that broke your back. It's very hard but I got the hang of it.
Anger/panic/stress overload all come about from anxiety for me. When I know it's a danger, I take steps to remind myself to go into lockdown so I don't blow my stack.
What is that? It's a method of recognising how much of your house you just used up this year, how much of your car you just used up this year. How much of that paintwork you just used up this year.
And where it comes into this issue is that events create stress. And you can nominate a value for that stress. Now, if you cause your stress, you pay the depreciation on it. :D If someone else creates the stress, they need to have that stress pushed back on them.
if we don't correctly place all stress as it comes at us, and use it either for our own growth or for the growth of others then it builds, unresolved, unplaced and not filed away. So it's still there, still charged, still waiting.
Then Joe comes along with his silly question and we have a giant pile of stress inside ourselves ready to be triggered like an avalanche. Does Joe deserve to wear the stress of all of these prior transactions? Or should we have allocated that stress correctly to all of those other transactions that caused it?
We've ALL had that asshole boss who blew his stack at us like an overactive volcano. We know it's not okay. But what we might not have known was that he was making a simple error and not keeping his stress levels down by resolving stress issues correctly as he went.
It's a lack of housework. A lack of tidying.
And a lack of recognition.
If work causes stress, you have to identify causes, identify issues, and then talk to the line manager about managing your way through them.
