Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...
I'm seeing a friend today who I haven't seen in like 13 years or something. She was a really good friend... she was actually the best woman at my wedding. But, like so often happens, we drifted apart, our lives took difference courses and we stopped seeing each other and then stopped communicating. I had made a decision back around Thanksgiving or so to reach out to old friends who I'd lost contact with and started texting with a couple of them. So, now we're here.
I'm excited to see her and hang out for a while, but I'm also anxious about it. Life has been all kinds of stressful lately, and this is something decidely outside of the norm. I woke up a littler earlier than usual this morning feeling anxious, but was able to focus on deep breathing and relaxing my muscles and move through the anxiety. It's still there, but it's just a passenger in the back of the bus... it's not driving.
Anyway, just wanted to put that out there while I sit here waiting for people to wake up so I cana do some chores and whatnot to help pass the time until she and her husband get here.

I haven't written in my diary on my computer since May because I thought that my computer was dying. I got away from writing but my computer is hanging in there. I think that I will start writing in it again. It's so therapeutic.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Here's to hoping the reunion is a satisfying one. At worst, you'll have one less unanswered question in the repository.
I'm not quite sure how. but this post got a Neil Young classic caught in my head.

Thanks for the song... good old Neil.
I think that was "normal" anxiety (hard to tell sometimes what is normal and natural anxiety and what is not!). You hadn't seen her in 13 years and you don't know what to expect, how it will go, have they changed.... etc. I think most people would feel at least a little nervous before that kind of meeting.
Glad it all worked out for you! :)
