Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Has anyone ever felt that they weren’t “entitled” to their feelings? Often, when I’m having a conversation with someone and they say something in a negative way I get upset and think to myself that I have no right to feel this way.
Sometimes I repeat a conversation in my head so much that I get it twisted up in a mess and than I start feeling like their either upset with me or just being mean.
I’m afraid this might not be coming out the way I want it to....
If I get angry or upset with someone or something I tell myself I shouldn’t feel that way because it was somehow my fault that they are mad.
I really hope I’m not the only one who has a problem with this.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Ever since I stopped doing therapy because of insurance, I've been feeling that old tense and irritable sense of anxiety and stress. I hate that. I was making so many strides and changes during therapy, my therapist would acknowledge all of my progress and accomplishments, and I miss that reassurance. Today I thought about it, and I made those changes! She would always tell me that I chose to...
But it comes & goes. I now let myself vent my anger, in safe productive ways like writing, taking my paintball gun & shooting up the side of the garage, stomp on a innocent bag of crackers (don’t ask..., just know it works & that’s good enough for me). I mainly use writing though to get a little closure and to silence the internal arguments. I create a story where I can say all the things I want to say but are too polite to in real life, and basically unload in an imaginary world made of paper. It’s also taught me a lot on why I had gotten so upset to begin with, because unleashing that anger & resentment on paper fully becomes a kind of flood of everything I’ve been bottling up for years. It give me a little insight & clarity into why & if I was emotionally over reacting or not.
You’re not alone. I think to some degree everyone does it. We all have the right to feel how we feel. It is how we act upon it that gets tricky.
Hugs & support.
It's a hard one, but you're definitely not alone!!
But I still am insecure and have no self esteem... I believe I am worthless and sound un intelligent... And my body isn't "good" enough, whatever that means.
Work on feeling your emotions and learn how to show anger to whoever tells you youre not allowed to feel. It's not their right to tell you how to feel like you. Even if that inner voice is hushing your feelings, make it stop. Feel the sadness. Feel the anxiety. When it's over you will be stronger.
