Anxiety Support Group
Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

This is my first post and it’s just reassuring to know that there are other people out there who understand because sometimes it feels like I’m all alone.
When I was 18 (now 22) I was diagnosed with anxiety along with some other stuff. I had always known I was a lot more anxious than normal but I didn’t really think anything of it because it was how I had always been. I turned down medications because I don’t taking anything and for the most part was able to manage on my own.
8 months ago I was able to get out of an abusive relationship but my anxiety has taken a toll. I wake up everyday exhausted and in pain and don’t know how I find the energy to go to work everyday. I have a good support system around me, which helps, but it just doesn’t feel like they really understand how tiring it is to conststantly feel like this everyday.

Years ago, I won a mirrored armoire from my job. It's in my bedroom but I rarely stand in front of it. Yesterday, I had to have a dexascan done so I had to change into a gown. There was a full length mirror in the changing room. I'm aware that I gained 5 to 7 pounds over the last year from cheating on Keto but I didn't know what it looked like. It was a reality check.
Once I was able to figure out the marker sensation of overwhelming anxiety, I was able to downsize the panic sensation. You have taken the important first step in writing out the thoughts.
Best wishes to your healing.
