I think when difficulties are happening w breathing -- non-harmony, then concentrating on the breaths might help. Don't let yerself breath too fast on the one hand, yet keep it (the air) coming right along.
I said "might" help; I have a hunch in it might not in all cases. :( *There* one should get the shoulders back in some way and find a nice diversion.
Another thing : something is said by yoga teachers about the stomach's place in healthy breathing. (Or diaphram.)

Practicing Breathing Techniques every day will also give you the confidence to get yourself through future anxiety attacks more quickly as oxygen to the brain calms down the central nervous system (brain, spinal cord). There are many on youtube.
You may also want to hold something comforting to you in your hand and look at and name or count things in the environment while inhaling and exhaling. "These are called Grounding Techniques".
Be patient with yourself as you learn and practice these techniques which over time will build self confidence.
Hope they help! Wishing You Inner Peace Always!
Practice 2/3 times a day, it will take a while to get the hang of, also if your at home listen to nature sounds, i got a little nature sound box from wallmart for $10.00. if you have a significant have them give you a massage before bed, if not and you can afford it go get a massage.
Exercise also really helps. Do you take AD and anxiety meds?, this along with a therapist to talk to can work wonders. Feel Better Soon!.
These things can be looked up.
