As the title says.
I had a phone screening for a retail clerk position a week ago on Friday and was told I'd be contacted back in a few days to schedule an in-person interview. That didn't happen; I was told if I wasn't contacted by Wednesday, I should call/email the location to remind them. I did that on Thursday and was told the hiring lady was out, but they'd contact the hiring lady to figure out what was going on and call me back. It's Saturday and I haven't gotten a call.
I've been really anxious to start working and this whole thing has been nerve wracking. I want to get out of my house, away from my family, and I want to finally make some money for myself. I'm not sure what to do. Should I call them again? Should I go to the store and ask to speak with someone? I really don't want to accept that they might have just dropped me without telling me.
I did apply to a bunch of other companies but this was the only one who contacted me back. I feel worried that I won't get hired anywhere else or at all in the end.

But, over a month ago, she couldn't take my insurance anymore, and I had to stop...
I would check back with them AND keep hunting.
In work, as in love, it pays big dividends to wait patiently until the right one comes along. If you listen to your heart, know the right one when you see it.
Steadying support while you work the process.
Are there, perchance, any job-hunting workshops/support groups in your area? I found mine through the State Employment Commission and several local colleges. They helped me allot. It is a grueling process. Support needed.
