Anxiety is a physical condition marked by intense and persistent feelings of distress, fear, angst or dread. General anxiety caused by routine day-to-day stresses usually passes quickly and is experienced by almost everyone at one time or another. However, such feelings that linger over time and are very difficult to cope with, and which lack a clear cause, may indicate...

Almost 6 days ago, I was standing in my living room talking to my mom and all of the sudden i just couldnt talk right, i was trying to say, i left the forks and instead i was saying i like the forks... I couldnt talk right, and i wasnt saying the right words. It scared the crap out of me. I was slurring my words. I had to call an ambulance, because i was so terrified i was having a stroke. Keep in mind i am only 21 years old.
So the ambulance came, and i was seeing a zig zag pattern going in circular motion in my visions, and it made me even more anxious.
I got to the ER and they had me wait for about 2 hours in the waiting room. Then i started to get a headache.... she came in and looked me over asked me a series of questions, and then said she would do a CT SCAN to make sure everything was okay sense i was mimicking stroke symptoms.
They sent me back for the CT SCAN. I was scared. I have always had this fear of having a stroke, ever sense i was 15. I got the CT SCAN everything checked out FINE. No stroke, no tumors, no bleeding in the brain, NOTHING.. Also, the diagnoses she gave me was a precursor to a migraine, which i did have after the speech problem.
This was 6 days ago, and all i can think is OH MY GOD, maybe they missed the stroke, maybe it didn't happen in time. maybe something is wrong with my brain, maybe i am bleeding in my brain now.... all these thoughts keep creeping up all at once, and ever sense i have had that speech problem, i feel like i haven't been talking right. I am so afraid i have been misdiagnosed.
IS this part of my anxiety, can someone please tell me im going to be okay, i am so afraid i am going to die.....

they checked you out, and you were fine, so i think this is anxiety. being anxious and having obsessive thoughts can make all kinds of things happen. you need to let your mind rest, or at least think about things you enjoy. have you ever talked to a counseler?

Talk to a counselor. It has helped me so much. She can reassure me and tell me ways to deal with my thoughts. Please don't let money keep you away from finding some one. When I first started having problems with anxiety I had a lot of anxiety over money. Insurance a lot of times pays and Human Services will work with you if you don't have ins. It just helped me so much. Take care and you will be in my prayers.

Strange but I have heard of this as a symptom to anxiety. Its quite rare and im sure you were terrified when it happened as it doesnt seem logical to have this type of speech impediment due to anxiety. But for now id just accept it as part of anxiety since your doctors did check you out and ruled out any outside illness.

You had a health scare and of course you are going to be anxious about it. When you wake up -as your lyying in bed go over your body and say by body feels no different than it did yesterday. I see well , my feet arwe good, my legs are good, and so on. This way you are starting the day on a positive note and filling your head with I am ok, instead of being on alert.

Just anxiety and intrusive thoughts sounds like it was a migraine if it happens again keep a log of what happend before the headache comes on. Write it down so if it happens again you can assure yourself it is just a migraine. Feel better>
