New to this online support group. I am not really sure as what I should say. Let me start by thanking everyone in this forum for creating a place where someone can vent, as well as, listen and share ideas on how to cope w/ anxiety; as I have recently been diagnosed as having. I have always been an independant person and literally had my world torn down around me. But I am starting to come to terms w/ the fact that I have anxiety- most likely generalised- and want to have a better understanding of it. So far it's been hell, but I am still alive and coping as best as I can. Hopefully the meds work w/ some therapy and I will be able to return to work. My heart goes out to everyone who suffers and especially the ones who have suffered for a long time. I realize how lonely a place it can sometimes be.

I did the dumbest thing today. I charged my earbuds, unplugged the block and put the block in my little bag instead of the earbuds. I wasn't happy about that when I got to the gym. What a dummy!

Joining this group did me a lot of good as people around me don't understand and don't want to listen but here I found people who can relate and who clearly listen.
I hope you to find people who can relate to you and give you advice. It really can make you feel better in some way.
I am also here if you need to talk :) My anxiety used to be just generalised but it progressed into worse things; panic disorder and depression. I'm not saying that that'll happen to you. There are a lot of factors that contribute to how your anxiety is and changes.
Good luck with everything! :) I hope the meds you are on and the type or therapy that you are getting can help you cope or even better and if things don't work there are so many other options. Never give up. :)
