Anger Management Support Group
Anger management commonly refers to therapeutic techniques by which someone with excessive or uncontrollable anger can control or reduce their emotions. Typical examples include the use of deep breathing and meditation as a means to relaxation. Psychologists recommend a balanced approach, which both controls the emotion and allows it to express itself in a healthy way.
minutes can be calming.
You probably don't want to walk around wearing headphones, but some of them totally block out sound. When I worked, I would sometime come home and go into a room and close the door for about ten minutes, just to get out of the mood from being in a miserable work atmosphere for nine hours. I usually felt like I had too much to do, but it helped when I did take a few minutes to relax.
One roommate right now does this, and he has done a couple of other things that really bother me. I have no idea how to approach him about it without screaming at him, being rude to him, or worse. I do not want to create any drama, but there are a couple things that are bothering me to the point that I avoid being around when he is Home. I'm not sure how to handle this properly.
It seems like outside and nightmares are controlling our home. Damn I don't know anymore..... I'm sorry that this did not help you onyx but I just wanted to share what I used to do when I was that age and was often told that I withdrew myself from others to much. See we moved from California to Ohio when I was a teenager. When we lived there, our lives did not seem any different then, it was almost like living in California but in a different environment. The same thing is happening now. I wonder if moving would help ease some of the pain we are now going through now?
learning/trying to overcome/trying to love......we are in earth school and it is the hardest place in the universe!!!!! So let's pat ourselves on the back for doing the best we can at the moment and striving to be our best selves!
I have lived in my house 29 years now, and the next door neighbors have been here at least that long. They have been a problem this whole time. We (my husband and I) have tried to show them what good neighbors do, but they seem to think that we are dumb for helping them out. Now, we have yet another problem. They park their cars in front of our house, even when there is no one parked in front of their house. It seems that they see our house as theirs. I have talked to them, I have sent them a nice cordial letter by mail, and I have even placed our city trash cans in front of our house to give them the message. Nothing has helped. The police said that the street is free and they are breaking no laws. What about neighborly respect laws? Anyway, I know I can't do anything about it, I know that the only thing is to work on myself and somehow finding acceptance of the fact that people are people and some are not respectful, but how do I find that acceptance? I need to find an internal solution to this because I am allowing them to ruin my days. I'm so obsessed at times that I just want to move. But realistically, I know that I will find "raunchy" people everywhere I go. It seems that our culture is getting very crude. So sad.
Thanks for listening.
Today, I actually caught her talking about me. Can you believe that shit.
& you can't get angry or raise hell, b/c there's no quicker way to get fired than to be some big guy over 6' chewing out a woman. It's not even right to do that anyway (don't get me wrong).
It's just ....I don't know. The only time I confronted her was at a meeting when she was acting like a complete shit w/ her snide remarks. Then when she accused me I told her in a low hard voice "Your WRONG" There wasn't anything my boss did to contradict me, thank God. & she was, and she cleared up the mess after the meeting.
I have to really be careful at work.
