Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Worry_ its a lonely activity. It puts distance between us and others. Our program is full of ideas about what to do with worry. In Step Three, we turn our will and lives over to God. This includes our worry.
Our slogans also suggest what to do with worry. One Day at a Time, Live and Let Live, Easy Does It. Let Go and Let God. Their main message is stop worrying. Trust the program. Trust your Higher Power. Everything will be okay.

When I made the decision to turn my will and life over to God as I try to understand Him.
My will (My thinking) My Life (My actions) was the time a great weight was lifted from me.
I was always worrying about my past or future so there was no way I could live in today. So when I made the decision to hand my past and future over to God I was able to make time for today.
God doesnt take away my past He takes care of it so that if I need to help someone its there in good hands not mine. Hard to explain but the freedom I found works for me.
Live and Let Live is another good one .When I stopped worrying about getting even with everyone for things they done or I thought they done people stopped living in my head rent free. I was told I should pray for those people so I did. God I hope those bastards get all they deserve. It works. lol
Easy Does It .Never tell an alcoholic that, that means come to a full stop. It should be Easy Does It But do IT.
No this slogan helped me, my head was always travelling faster than the speed of light.
It helped me to understand with the 12 Steps I didnt have to get or understand them all in one day .Thats why Bill Wilson numbered them he new I was coming. Step 1 comes before step 2 and so on so do them as there numbered.
And with the Big Book I didnt have to read it in one hour East Does It one line one paragraph or on page a day is enough. I use this slogan a lot.

I've been going to meeting sporadically for about 5 months now. But I really need one a day right now. No sponsor yet but I've already learned a lot about this disease and myself. I'm eager but keep hearing don't 'put the cart before the horse' sort of thing.
