Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
a small part of you wants to stop, but a bigger part wants to keep drinking. that's why you are caught in a trap.
so, ask yourself, "Why do i still want to drink?"
and trust me, you will get NOWHERE if you say "because i'm an alcoholic"
that will only enable you to continue drinking.
The next morning, I would wake up and first thing I'd do is check to make sure I was going to have enough vodka for the night after work.
I didn't have a clue about surrender until my fear of the known became greater than my fear of the unknown. When I truly wanted to stop, it didn't matter who knew, how much it cost, how put out my husband would be having to make arrangements to care for our kids.
These were excuses I made for years.
People who truly want to stop drinking do. I have stayed stopped through AA. If you want to stop drinking I hope you try AA, if you don't want to stop drinking, I hope you change your mind.
