Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

A good thing for this drunk...
Hugs,
Dennis

1) making stupid decisions that hurt me and those around me
2) having something control my life that didn't do a damn thing for me that was good or real
3) not having money
4) not having any real fun
5) THE BAR SCENE! lol
6) humiliating myself and not caring
Hell I could go on and on
I don't miss trying to dispose of all the empty vodka bottles. They accumulated so quickly.
I don't miss the shaking hands, pain in my side, diarrhea or the dry heave hangovers.
I dont miss any of it.
So no, don't miss it and LOVE the clarity, the flexibility, the choices and the real freedom.
2. I don't miss falling down at awkward times.
3. I don't miss seeing my phone book open next to the phone and having no idea as to who I called.
4. I don't miss waking up, not knowing who I insulted the night before.
5. I don't mind not having people whispering behind my back as I walk by (maybe that was just paranoia - alcohol induced)
6. There is a lot more - but that was a long time ago - so I'm a little hazy on the details.
I've thought about this question a lot before replying, too...
If anything, I have regrets.
