Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. I can despise the obsession to drink or I can accept it. I can give in to it and face it yet again later, or I can withstand it until it passes. I can pray for this strength and welcome the opportunity to build it.
I can dwell in the despair of my sorrows or I can persist with a trusting and hopeful spirit that there will be joy with the passage of time.
I have the choice to accept my condition and make the most of it. I imagine the journey will be more pleasant when embraced for all that it is.

What if a demon were to creep after you one night, in your loneliest loneliness, and say, 'This life which you live must be lived by you once again and innumerable times more; and every pain and joy and thought and sigh must come again to you, all in the same sequence. here's another "you've come a long way baby" :) Soooo proud of you Olive. I mean, I sound stupid sayin that since I don't have that long sober, but the difference in you is like night and day and it's really cool to hear you sounding so positive these days. :)
