Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
(Thanks powers that preside over muwah for my health today....)
Everything is different for me...and indescribably better.
All I did before was lay on the couch & drink on the weekends & after work if I didn't go to my friends house & sit by the pool & drink.
So everything I do is a change & it's awesome!
My daughter just emailed me and told me to take off Friday July 3rd so we can go get pedicures & go to lunch & shopping. Holycrap!! I'm amazed..she wants to spend time with me now!
I feel like a mother, and human and it's such a great feeling.
I truly have gratitude for a warm bath!!
I just dont have the guts sober, and this strange new thing keeps coming up "rationality"!!
Non alcoholic is lot less dramatic im fuming, smoked lots of cigs, and i dont smoke! but sober another day.
Today I went to an AA meeting at lunch and brought carrot cake for all my friends then I went and played golf.
I'M THANKFUL FOR THE ROOMS OF AA FILLED WITH A BUNCH OF DRUNKS IN A PROGRAM OF RECOVERY AND MOST OF ALL BECAUSE OF THE GOD I FOUND BY WORKING THE12 STEPS.
Today my heart is beating and is filled with gratitude for all of these things.
Peace and blessings.
Someone in my early days of "sobriety" said, "I've never woken up without a hangover and wished I had one". Hmm...I think I finally get that one.
Thanks for sharing all...keep them coming.
