Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
But seriously, I am in no way looking for anything romantic in my life at this point....my focus is recovery, but thanks, I know to always be careful :)
You'll "lose" even more time by playing the "what if, what if, what if" game.
Keep your chin up, little buckaroo!
I'm 46.
If I knew what I know now at 30 yrs I couldn't imagine what I could've been.
You have A LOT of life ahead of you, Ashley. Go for the good stuff and run with it. 30 is just the beginning of life in my book.
Those are not lost years, Ashley. They are lessons learned. You see, the negative experiences don't define you. Instead, they are tools to find your way back to sanity. One day, you will look back on them and not feel fear or shame or anger. One day, you will use them to help others.
Today is a new day, full of promise and hope that you might not have found without that darkness. Today, the light and your new freedom found in recovery define you.
You know, you have lots of time to devote to recovery, get well and then throw yourself into the life you want. You are young enough to date and find the right partner, and still opt for kids if that's what you want. Your life is still an open highway. Relax. Enjoy the journey.
