Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.
After complaining that I wasn't getting enough, work, I now have a good amount. Me not freaking out about not having the exact amount of money I want, is nice, however, I can sense that my alcoholism and the treatment of it, hasn't been as much of an interest as it could be and has been. I am going to meetings, but have skipped a few, thinking I could, and I have neglected reading the literature, or if I do, I read a page or two, and then start thinking about wordly things that really aren't very important to me personally. I haven't talked to my sponsor on a regular basis is a long time, I no longer have commitments and cut out one of the two meetings I did have commitments for. The one saving grace I suppose is I am still very interested in considering unselfishness the way to go in relating to and working with others.
I do have a sponsee, I do talk to guys at the group I go to regularly, I am listening to lots of speaker tapes, I am honest with my life about what I can do and what I cannot do employment wise, I am taking care of myself physically, getting rest when possible, eating a certain way so I won't feel bad, and for the most part am invested in humility.
Does not doing the things in the first paragraph, as much any more, need to be changed in you all's opinion? Any thing anyone sees that I might want to be cautious of? I have to admit, I feel great, and am very hopeful and positive while enjoying life and wanting to be helpful as much as possible.
Life is good, and I just want to make sure that won't lead to a neglecting of my alcoholism and it's treatment. Thank You.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

How is your spiritual sobriety? I spent most of the last year maybe making one meeting a month.
It wasn’t enough. I dove in with my sponsor and now have a men’s meeting once a week and I committed to going to more.
While nothing was wrong for me, my spiritual fitness has improved.
I’ll never be a “meeting a day” kind of guy, but I do get the value in showing up more, even if it’s to help out the newcomer.
God Bless
