Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Things are highly stressful for me right now. So I’ve stepped away from here for a few weeks. I don’t want to elaborate, except for one part I’m proud of. I’ve had three root canals. On the same tooth. I guess I’m “blessed” with 4 or more canals in the same tooth which was hard to detect on xrays. I I used to be a hardcore junkie. I did get a script, because the tooth is infected and painful. The craziest part was when I did take a few, I got nauseous. So no more for me :) I’m glad that I didn’t go down that road again. So for that I’m thankful. One thing I’ve always done is that no matter what situation I’m in, I try to find a positive, no matter how stupid or ridiculous it is. I just find comfort and strength in that. Even if it’s something as small as a stranger holding open the door for me on a bad day.

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I was recently separated from my wife of 33 years and it's complicated. Anyway I rented a room about 15 minutes away and I see my kids about once a week. I see the people who own the house I live in once in a while but other than that I stay in my room where I do my cooking, wash dishes in the shower, read, color, and sleep. I get out at least once a day. I grocery shop and I attend 2 meetings...

Pain is a real trigger for me, I’m easily worn out when pain is present. I think that it will never end and my mind has a real problem dealing. But I have had several big injuries in sobriety and when they finally heal the pain does go away eventually. It just takes time and my problem is I’m not very patient.
Be careful on the Narcotics. I found I would use them and then when they were gone would amp up the drinking to cover for their absence. Then I had a bigger problem. It was all consuming.
Prayers for healing and sober new you
