Alcoholism Support Group
Alcoholism is the continued consumption of alcoholic beverages, even when it is negatively affecting your health, work, relationships and life. If you think alcohol is causing you to lose control, it's time to seek help. Our group is a safe place to vent, check in, get back up if you fall, and reach sobriety.

Well, I posted a discussion a couple of weeks ago asking for prayers and advice for my relationship with my alcoholic live in boyfriend. Trust me, the responses I had helped me so much. And I believe all the prayers have led me to this point. I am FINALLY in a financial situation to where if I kick him out, my daughter and I will be just fine! Hallelujah! So, that is a major relief. Actually, since my last post things had been better with him. So, I had just been sitting back waiting on the "last straw" to make him leave. This is what happened this morning: He came home from work after working several 12 hour nights in a row. I know he is tired, but the drinking only makes him angry. He was complaining about a garnishment being too much out of his check and he was using the GD word over and over. He can't talk without vile language when he drinks. And it's just OVER AND OVER. He can't say GD and then go on with what he is saying. It's GD, GD, GD, 3 times in one sentence. It makes me very uncomfortable. I hate it. So, I asked him could he please try to say a sentence without using that word so much. Guess what? He said something else using the GD word 3 more times! Yeah! He really respects my feelings, huh? Then he makes the comment, "Well, I know YOU don't appreciate the money I make, cause I let you go spend it like there is no tomorrow!" Well, in the past I would have clammed up and just kept my anger and hurt inside and let him keep on but this morning after that left his mouth, I said, "F YOU!!!" Yes, I know, kind of bad since I had just been on to him about cussing! But, I'm sick of him saying I don't appreciate things when it is HIM who doesn't appreciate anything from anybody! (And he has conveniently forgot about the $2500 of MY money used for HIS lawyer on his DUI!) My come back ticked him off worse than he has been in awhile and he started telling me to give him his debit card and check book back and he'd just leave and take his money with him. So, I went and immediately got them from my purse and laid them both beside him. After a little more grumbling, he went outside to shoot his pellet rifle and came back in a little bit later basically pretending as if nothing happened. Funny how when I call his bluff, he remembers who it is who does everything for him from cooking to driving him because he has no DL. Wow. He may not be gone, but I feel good about sticking up for myself. Thanks for all of you who have prayed for me and I ask you to please, keep me and my daughter in your prayers!

I invited Bill to have dinner with me last Sunday. He wasn't willing to drive 7 hours to mid Michigan and teased me with his beautiful ribs!!! So, of course I ate alone and had cedar salmonĀ

check out that smoke ring. It tasted really good. I smothered it with Maulls BBQ sauce which is Local to St. Louis and one of the best I ever had.....

I think if it were me, I would respond by saying, "I'm not gonna play your silly games anymore!" and not say another word.
God Bless!
